THE STORY BEHIND PURE CONTINUES…

Writer/Director Natalie Jasmine Harris is currently adapting Pure into a feature-length script of the same name that she hopes to become her feature film debut alongside co-writer and producer, Yoko Kohmoto, and executive producer, Avril Speaks.

Logline: When a 17-year-old slam poetry star is uprooted from her Bay Area community to the elite Black suburbs of Maryland, she’s forced into a cotillion debutante ball that pushes her to confront her burgeoning queer identity and imagine a different kind of coming out.
